Wayne Rooney Reportedly Arrested For Driving Under The Influence

 Not long after ace golfer Tiger Woods was arrested for driving under the influence, it seems another athlete has fallen in the same net.

Former England captain Wayne Rooney is said to have been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Rooney was reportedly arrested for drunk driving. 

The Everton star was stopped by police in Cheshire last night after an evening out

This alleged arrest is coming following photos of a drunk him surfacing online as he crashed a wedding party in November last year where guests said the striker was "paralytic" and partied until 5am.

Unknown Gunmen Murder Young Girl On Her Way To Pick Up Her UK Visa

 Quite sad.

A young girl has been shot dead by unknown gunmen on her way to pick up her UK visa. She was said to have headed to Abuja with her mom.

According Gabriela Okwara, the deceased's friend:

One of my juniors in secondary school, a young promising girl who was traveling to Abuja alongside her mum to get their visas and head back to the U.K. was shot dead by the trolls on Elele road and some insensitive clowns here are telling me to not raise alarm on the high rate of insecurity on East west road in other not to paint Rivers State bad, are you kidding me? Where is your conscience? Instead of you to lament, stage protest and demand that the security personnels at state and federal level do their jobs, you are there talking plenty! God have mercy on you.

Horrific! See What A Father Did To His Son For Being Too Stubborn

The rate at which kids are being abused on a  daily basis in the country is alarming.

A child has had his body severely burned by his father for being too stubborn and for stealing.


An IG user shared a horrific photo of the child who had palm oil rubbed on his body to heal the wound giving a  little detail as to how he came about the injury.

According to the man, the child's father who resides in Calabar had burned the child for being stubborn.

He wrote:

So this happened today this morning a father poured his one and only son hot water because he stole and he is stubborn the boy can't even talk what nonsense is this say no to child abuse

Court Sentences Ram Thief To 6-Months In Jail

A 30-year old man Sulaimon Awokunle has been sentenced top 6-months imprisonment by a Magistrate’s Court in Osogbo, Osun State for allegedly stealing a ram kept for Sallah by Saka Idowu. 
 Elisa Olusegun, the police prosecutor told the court that Awokunle stole the ram valued at N25, 000 at about 6am inside Onunrin’s compound in Iree.

Olusegun who pleaded guilty to the one count charge of theft pleaded for mercy. His counsel, Najite Okobe, said his client was a first time offender and urged the court to mitigate his punishment.

The Magistrate Adenike Olowolagba however sentenced him to 6-months in jail or pay a fine of N4, 000.
